Following her recovery from the injury, she was able to play in the striker position at Pleasant Hill California at Diablo Valley College where she earned an associate's degree in Art. She was named Junior College All-American and transferred to Arizona State University, where she put off playing soccer due to doubts about herself. The following year she went to California State University Fullerton. In Fullerton, she earned a bachelors degree and a concentration in business and human resource management. Her move to Los Angeles after completing her studies to pursue a modeling as well as acting career. In the course of her studies, she came on the auditions for W.W.E. She was able to impress the talent scouts, and was offered the opportunity to take a test of 4 weeks when she stumbled across it on accidental. Then, in Orlando Florida she started her training with The Performance Center. The show was renamed Total Divas W.W.E in May 2013. show.
